Yanqi (Andy) Ye

Yanqi (Andy) Ye is a PhD student in the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences (DEEPS) at Brown University. He is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered in Alberta, Canada. Before coming to Brown, he worked as a Water Resources Engineer in Canada. His work focused on flood studies, surface water management, and civil designs. He was also part of the River Ice Research Group at the University of Alberta, where he researched computational hydraulics with a specific interest in river ice. His current research interests include remote sensing and hydrology.

He earned a BE in Water and Hydropower Engineering from Hohai University, an MSc in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Alberta, and a Master’s in Computer and Information Technology from the University of Pennsylvania.
