Katia Lezine

Katia was a NCRL master’s degree student in the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences (DEEPS) at Brown from 2019-2021. Her thesis research focused on understanding changes in surface water storage and connectivity across the Canadian Shield using a deep learning Generative Adversarial Network method to super-resolve Planet CubeSat satellite imagery. Prior to coming to Brown, she received a BS in Environmental Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she used remote sensing data to study trends in mountain snowpacks.
