Cynthia Hall

Cynthia Hall was the NCRL’s first graduate student, graduating with an MA in Geography from UCLA in 1999.   For her master’s work she used Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) interferometry phase coherence to map ecotones on the Mackenzie River Delta, Arctic Canada.  After graduating she worked at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).  Currently, she is Community Coordinator for NASA’s Earth Science Data Systems, where she is working to enhance and promote the use of all of NASA’s Earth science data collections. She is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Geology and Environmental Geosciences at the College of Charleston where she teaches courses in environmental geology, advocating for the environment through art, and Earth System Science education.
