Sarah Simon

Sarah is a PhD student in the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences (DEEPS) at Brown University. Sarah is interested in pairing remote sensing with hydrologic modeling to assess effects of glacial meltwater runoff on regional and global climate models. She completed her B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she spent two years researching applications of remote sensing toward understanding urban flooding and large-scale river hydrology. Aside from remote sensing research, Sarah spends her time cooking, playing the clarinet, biking, and skiing.
